This study aimed to investigate the relationship between income and different dimensions of well-being among rural residents, including mental health and social connectedness. A literature review was conducted, which found that higher income is generally associated with better mental health outcomes, social connectedness, access to health care services, and housing conditions among rural residents. These findings largely support the hypotheses of the study. However, the relationships between income and well-being are complex and may be influenced by a range of other factors.
